Victory In Vegas For Telehandler Operator 12/02/2008

Jason Hershberger, a telehandler operator from a family with a history of telehandler experience, has been reported to have won a telehandler operating skills competition in Las Vegas. The telehandler skills competition was part of the World of Masonry and World of Concrete show.

The telehandler competition entailed Hershberger completing a variety of tasks which demonstrated his telehandler skills. These tasks included driving and operating the telehandler and lifting and dropping certain loads, as well as driving the telehandler itself.

The competition took place in Las Vegas in January, and featured over 30 contestants battling out to take the title of most able telehandler operator.

The winner of the telehandler competition was chosen on their abilities to complete the tasks in hand in the telehandler, and the winner was deemed to be the most consistent. It has been reported that first and second places of the telehandler competition were rewarded with a prize, and the telehandler operators were given, for first place, a Harley Davidson motorcycle, with the second place telehandler operator receiving a gift card. It has been reported that the scores in the telehandler competition of the telehandler operators were very close, but because of overall consistency, Jason Hershberger was able to drive home in style on the first prize of the Harley Davidson motorcycle.
